Its possible.
I mean, he has a wife, but she's killed and for the season/series finale we could have Raines seeing hallucinations of her! Then, if he hasn't already, he can find out who killed her!

I have a feeling the writers has Raines in character in development. What i mean by this, i think we will see his character evolve. We will find out about his personal life as ait progresses.

Better not give him a wife that gets killed. We already got that with Monk. I think for now at least it works better to keep him single.(If they can avoid bringing in a love interest anyway.)

Reconstructing Alice shed some light on a wife. He was laying in bed watching late night TV and made a reference about a wife

Yeah, he said that if he had tried harder he might have been able to save his marriage. Guess that means he's divorced. Certainly better than having him be a widower.

Unfortunately that may set him up to be a widower. IHe might have to solve her murder on the last episode. Imagine him hallucinating his wife!

Raines' ex-wife is very much alive, she will play a central role in the season finale April 27th (if we get that far)

Sorry about the delay. There are only three shows that haven't aired yet.
Below is assuming NBC will continue to air them without pre-emptions:
"The Fifth Step" 4/13 "Inner Child" 4/20 "Closure" 4/27
BTW - "Inner Child" was the first episode we shot this season. It was considered the darkest in subject matter and put in the back of the schedule. We'll see in two weeks!
