I loved this episode. I think it is really hitting its stride. I loved Raines' boss line about "waiting for old dead man's pants."
Also the scene with the old, blind dog. I laughed out loud during that scene. It reminds me of the Humphrey Bogart movies when he is a detective and yet HB inserts all these funny lines into a dark mystery.
Has anyone ever seen The Big Sleep a movie starring Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart with the screen play written by Raymond Chandler. If you ever get the chance, watch and you will know what I mean.
This show is as good as Numb3rs was when it started, but unfortunately has gone down hill. I'm eager about getting excited about a new show.

This episode was the best so far. Very interesting sub- plot with Raines dead partner's kid. I wonder where that will go?
I think Raines gets better every week. The writing is terrific. I like how they let all the cast members have some great lines.
I'm going to check out The Big Sleep.

I liked the sub plot with Charlie's kid too. The scene with the dog had me howling with laughter!

This episode was the best so far. I 2nd that! It had interesting character work, funny moments (Raines' ears!), an interesting case and "Tales From The Crypt"! ;D
